Floral Sunshine

This is the first painting finished in my new studio workspace at The Warehouse Studios on Lancaster avenue Reading, Pa. The new studio has a great vibe for working and I can’t wait to paint many more in my new space! I picked up these gorgeous flowers at wayside market and they were just too beautiful to let die without getting them on canvas.

Tahoe Rocks!

18 x 24 Oil painting

Like Tahoe is one of the more amazing places I’ve ever visited, stopped there briefly on the way to the amazing Yosemite National Park. So many images from that trip, and not nearly enough time to paint them all!

Hot off the easel

This painting was inspired by a photograph I took while taking a tour of N.C. Wyeths home at the Brandywine River Museum.  If you ever get the chance,  the museum and the tours are well worth the visit.  I’ve only done one so far, and can’t wait to go back and do the other two. The Painting is 10×22, framed in a beautiful mahogany frame.

Artplus Gallery studio tour

There still time to get your tickets for the Artplus Gallery studio tour. I am ready to go. The tour goes today from 10 to 4 and tomorrow from 10 to 4. The tickets are available at each of the stops, my address is four Matz Drive and I have tickets for you.

Light Shines Through

Another Nolde forest painting from a photo I took on an early morning walk. I’ve always loved the way light shines through the forest and attempted to capture that in this painting.

Biltmore Lilies

This summer I had a chance to visit the Biltmore estate in Asheville North Carolina. The gardens  there are beautiful and I took hundreds of pictures.  These particular lily pads fascinated me, I thought they were beautiful so I decided to paint them.  The only thing missing is a big fat toad sitting on one of those pads.
